70th Anniversary Celebration
On September 9th, 1953, Archbishop Prendergast Catholic School for Boys opened its doors for the first time in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The rest is history, as they say. One school for boys grew into two separate schools for boys and girls before becoming the co-ed Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School we know today.
The past 70 years taught us the importance of adapting to change - it has been our key to surviving and thriving as a school community. In recognition of our rich, storied history of providing world-class Catholic education in Delaware County - and the community that made it all possible - we are organizing a year-long 70th-anniversary celebration.

Join the 70th Anniversary Committee
The Bonner & Prendie Advancement Office seeks alumni volunteers to join the 70th Anniversary Planning Committee. The committee will meet remotely on days/times convenient for members to plan the details of the 70th anniversary celebratory events. If interested, email the Advancement Office at [email protected]
Become a Host
In fall 2023, Bonner & Prendie will launch the 70th Anniversary Presidential Tour. During the year-long tour, Dr. John Cooke, President of Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School, will visit with alumni in four different states in four seasons. We are currently looking for alumni hosts willing to open their homes to nearby alumni and friends. This tour will allow alumni and friends to reconnect with the school community and hear the latest news and updates from Bonner & Prendie.

In place of this year’s Annual Gala, Bonner & Prendie will host a community-wide 70th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, September 9th, 2023.
