Camp Caritas 2025

Registration for Camp Caritas 2025 will open on February 27th at 12:01 a.m.

Camp Caritas is a faith formation summer camp at Bonner & Prendie for students preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation! Students will spend the week participating in interactive activities, service, catechism lessons, and daily Mass under the direction of trained catechists. All program materials and a daily snack will be provided, students are asked to bring their own lunch.

*All students must have the approval of their parish’s Pastor and/or Director of Religious Education to attend. All parents are required to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 7th at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom

to review logistics and expectations.

Camp Session - Monday, June 16th to Friday, June 2oth, 2025

Each day runs from 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. except for Thursday which ends at 3:30 p.m.

Thursday, February 27rd-Thursday, March 13th -Cost- $175.00

On or after Friday, March 14th - Cost-$200.00

*A family rate of $275.00 is available for siblings attending together

Due to the amount of planning and materials that need to be purchased, we must follow a schedule with strict deadlines. Refunds will be issued freely throughout the initial registration process. Parents who request a refund after March 13th and before June 1st will be placed on a refund waiting list and will be given a refund if and when another student registers to take their student's place. No refunds will be issued after June 1st.

Program Overview

We are excited to welcome over 150 students to our campus this summer! Students will be divided into 8 random groups. Students will arrive and depart through the B&P cafeteria.

Students will arrive to our campus between 8:15-8:30AM. Class will begin promptly at 8:30AM and will end at 3:00PM, except for Thursday when we will finish at 3:30PM. Students will not be admitted after 8:40AM and will not receive credit for completing the program. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory.

Student materials, including a t-shirt, backpack, notebook, pen, and folder, will be provided by the program.

Schedule of Activities

Students will spend the week with a small group of students led by a catechist and will participate in interactive activities, guest speaker presentations, acts of service, catechism lessons, and daily Mass.

We will provide each student with a daily snack, and all students are asked to bring their own lunch along with a water bottle to refill during the day. Unfortunately, refrigerators are not available. Students may bring additional snacks to enjoy throughout the day.

Pilgrimage

Camp participants will be going on a field trip on Thursday to take part in a religious pilgrimage. More information will be shared about the pilgrimage as we get closer to our summer program.

Remember that pilgrimages are sacred encounters with our faith and that we must all be in a prayerful mindset during the day. The goal of this experience is to learn about these visible expressions of the Catholic faith and how the Holy Spirit can guide us in this next phase of our lives after we receive Confirmation.

Note that our day will end at 3:30PM rather than 3:00PM on Thursday.

Service Project

One of the hallmarks of Bonner & Prendie, and the Catholic Church as a whole, is a commitment to serving the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized. We are in the process of determining the final service project.
