New Principal Announced for Bonner & Prendie Catholic High School

May 20, 2025

Dear Members of the Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast High School Community,

We hope you are well in these closing weeks of the school year. Today, we are very pleased to share that we have selected a full-time principal for our school.

Following a robust search process involving The Office of Catholic Education (OCE) and the Bonner & Prendie Board of Directors, Ms. Andrea Ciliberti, current Assistant Principal of Academic Affairs, has been appointed the new principal effective Monday, June 16, 2025. During the lengthy search process, Ms. Ciliberti took on additional responsibilities and offered valuable support to Mr. Gerard Laskowski and Dr. John Cooke in their role as co-interim principals. Please join us in congratulating Ms. Ciliberti and extending prayerful best wishes as she prepares to take on this new role in service to the Bonner & Prendie community.

Ms. Ciliberti has been an asset to our school for over 17 years as a teacher and administrator. Since 2013, she has done an exemplary job serving as Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs. In that role, her responsibilities included organizing and leading the school’s Academic Board and creating and maintaining the school’s master schedule of course offerings. In addition, she has served as Bonner & Prendie’s liaison to the Upper Darby Police Department since 2021. In that capacity, she facilitated the school’s TAPs Academy (Teen and Police Service Academy) partnership.

Ms. Ciliberti earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Criminology from Albright College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Language from the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Distance Teaching & Learning Program. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from East Stroudsburg University and a Master’s Degree with a certification in English and an ESL Certification from Cabrini University. Currently, she is enrolled in the Educational Leadership and Transformational Change program at St. Joseph's University toward her principal certification.

We are thrilled to have Ms. Ciliberti continue with us as an integral part of the school’s Administrative Team. We remain grateful for your unwavering support of Bonner & Prendie and for entrusting us to provide a holistic education and formation for your sons and daughters.

Please be assured of our continued prayers for you and your families.

Sincerely,

William E. Brannick, Superintendent of Secondary Schools

John E. Cooke, Ed.D., President
