2023 Alumnus Gives Back to Bonner & Prendie

Kevin McGonigle, a class of 2023 graduate, honed his baseball skills on Bonner & Prendie's fields. Today, he plays Major League Baseball for the Detroit Tigers. At 19 years old, Kevin expressed his gratitude for his experience at Bonner & Prendie in the most significant way possible by making a $40K Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) donation to support our students.

The EITC program allows Pennsylvania residents to redirect a portion of their taxes as philanthropic support to educational institutions like Bonner & Prendie. When asked why he donated to Bonner & Prendie, Kevin humbly responded, "Because Bonner & Prendie gave so much to me."

Kevin McGonigle's journey from the halls of Bonner & Prendie to the professional baseball arena is a shining example of our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a strong sense of community. His story is a testament to our community values of hard work, determination, community service, and a passion for one's craft.

As Kevin continues to make his mark in baseball, we are incredibly grateful that he chose to remember Bonner & Prendie by making a transformative EITC donation that will impact future students. Kevin truly exemplifies the values - on and off the field - that we aim to instill in all our students.

Many young alumni, like Kevin, have benefited from the generosity of alumni donors before him. Whether you graduated last year or 50 years ago, your generosity can help pave the way for future generations of students.
